For a long time, my life looked fine from the outside.
I was working from home, managing our household, taking care of my children — doing what needed to be done. Nothing was falling apart.
But one day, my children said something that stopped me in my tracks:
“Mom, you’re here… but you’re not really here.”
They were right.
I wasn’t unhappy in a dramatic way. I was just moving through my days on autopilot — getting things done, managing responsibilities, but rarely feeling fully present or grounded.
